The Art of Daniel Olguin

Release the limits of the imagination. Uninhibited by rules, Daniel is able to explore and

experiment opening his mind to potential and possibility. Following the lead of a line and

inspired by memory and images from his dreams, Daniel breathes life into strange

ethereal creatures and makes one wonder about what else might exist that we have yet

to discover. Daniel Olguin was born in 1974 in Mexico City, Mexico. He received his

Bachelor of Arts Degree in Graphic Communication from Universidad Nacional

Autónoma de México (UNAM). Daniel’s art evolve from pencil drawings and take on a

life of their own as he painstakingly experiments with shade and color in computergenerated

lines. Daniel has been working his sketches into beautiful and mysterious

creatures for over twenty years, and recently begun to share them with the public at art

shows in the Chicago area. Over the last three years, he has showcased his work in

Evanston, Forest Park, Elmhurst, Oak Park, Old Irving Park and Ravenswood.
