Carolyn Weltman has exhibited her unique pieces worldwide and has
received much acclaim for her many solo shows in New York and Europe.
Her work has been consistently auctioned by houses such as Christie’s,
Sothebys and Philips de Pury and surveyed in documentaries and
television shows such as City TV (Canada) and SexArt (USA).
During her career, Carolyn has been widely published by both American
and European presses, for example, Maxim Jakubowski’s Mammoth
Series. Her work is now published in 100 Artists of the Male Figure,
including a collaboration of her work with two other artists on the
front and back covers of the book. As a result of her inclusion in 100
Artists, she was subsequently interviewed for the first issue of The Art
of Man magazine.
Carolyn has been collected by both individuals of note and museums,
including among the latter the Kinsey Institute Collection of Erotic Art
and the Tom of Finland Museum. She has also been a featured artist at
the New York Museum of Sex.
More
recently, Carolyn has served as a juror for Erotic Signature’s The
World’s Greatest Erotic Art of Today, Vol. 3, and she has been a guest
presenter both at the School of Visual Arts, NYC and the National Arts
Club, NYC. Carolyn is a member of both the Society for Women in Erotic
Art Today and Idiosynchronism, a group of international artists who
proudly claim in their manifesto that their purpose is mischief.
Carolyn lives and works in New York City.
